Managing Director

Our research and consulting activities focus on key social issues such as overall well-being, equal opportunities, livelihood security, healthcare, housing, civic engagement, trust, and youth engagement. Our clients include the provinces of Groningen and Drenthe, municipalities, social organizations, and residents. The Groningen Social Planning Office and the Drenthe Trend Bureau are integral parts of CMO STAMM.

We have a deep understanding of current trends and changes, and we know what is happening in society, where the challenges lie, and which approaches are effective. We highlight relevant issues, facilitate connections, and collaborate with partners to develop innovative solutions. In doing so, we are guided by the principle of broad well-being. The CMO STAMM team consists of about 40 dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference through their work. Our approach is task-oriented, carried out by flexible program teams and supported by a streamlined management team consisting of the Managing Director and a manager. Position

As Managing Director at CMO STAMM, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the social sector of Drenthe and Groningen. You will be responsible for implementing CMO STAMM’s long-term strategy and effectively communicating this strategy to the relevant stakeholders.

In your capacity as Executive Director, you will actively engage with administrative networks focused on societal challenges. You will continuously foster synergy between the activities of CMO STAMM, the Groningen Social Planning Office, and the Drenthe Trend Bureau, and the insights you gain from your network. In doing so, you will guide the advisory and research agenda, ensuring it aligns with the themes that provinces, municipalities, and social partners are focusing on.

Profile

CMO STAMM is seeking a unique Executive Director with a clear vision for the future. It is essential that you have a deep affinity for social issues. Networking comes naturally to you, and you effortlessly connect people and topics. In doing so, you also demonstrate your negotiation skills and always advocate for the interests of the organization and its residents, drawing on your knowledge of social issues and political nuances.

In the role of Managing Director, you inspire both the team and external network partners. Your leadership style serves as the catalyst that drives the organization to perform at its best, by providing direction toward organizational goals while also offering employees the freedom and autonomy they need. You possess the courage, originality, and determination to make decisions even in complex situations. You do this with conviction, while maintaining a constant dialogue with your team and external network partners. What else we expect from you:

• An academic level of work and thinking;
• 5–10 years of demonstrable experience in a managerial role, preferably at the executive level;
• Skill in leading professional teams;
• A clear affinity for research and consulting, and their practical application;
• Extensive knowledge of the social sector and related issues;
• Involvement in and a network within the Northern Netherlands;
• Administrative finesse.

In summary: we are looking for a genuinely passionate Executive Director with a unique personality who has a special connection to Groningen and Drenthe, and who will lead CMO STAMM to the next stage in its development.
