People who fall victim to a crime, traffic accident, or disaster deserve professional and decisive support. An organization that performs under pressure, collaborates closely with partners in the care chain, and continuously innovates to help victims as effectively as possible. As Director of Services, you are the unifying leader behind this mission. You focus on quality, results, and innovation. You translate strategy into action and strengthen our position within the national network. Through your leadership, you ensure that our services—day in and day out—make a meaningful difference for hundreds of thousands of victims and their loved ones.
As Director of Services, you will have overall responsibility for service delivery across five districts and eleven locations in the southern Netherlands, as well as for the national Contact, Advice, and Information Center. As portfolio holder, you are responsible for the national intake processes within our client journey, including crisis management and emergency shelter. In addition, you are responsible for integrating online and in-person services, which are currently organized and managed separately.
You will actively contribute to the organizational strategy and, together with your team, translate it into concrete annual plans for the assigned organizational units. You will inspire managers, staff, and volunteers to provide the best possible assistance to as many victims as possible. In doing so, you will serve as a crucial link between innovation and implementation: you will develop proposals and ensure that improvements and innovations are effectively put into practice.
You will also play a key role in strengthening our position within the national network of partners and collaborators, such as the Public Prosecution Service, the police, municipalities, and safety regions. You navigate administrative and political relationships with ease and represent the organization with authority and vision.
You will report to the board of directors, participate in board meetings in an advisory capacity, and, together with the director for the Northern Netherlands, serve as chair of the collegial management team on a rotating basis.
Through your leadership, you create an environment where professionals and volunteers can perform at their best—taking a hands-off approach when possible, and a hands-on approach when necessary.
